I am still working on my WEREWOLVE$ project, and this sketchbook scan has also been submitted to Illustration Friday for the spooky forest concept in the top left. The werewolf ripping it's way free of the soldier's meat is also quite appropriate for Halloween...?
The story takes place in an undisclosed Eastern European country. This post-soviet state is suffering under American occupation, and our hero is a partisan who has been despatched to engage an American military base in guerilla warfare. The reason why this lone-wolf assault on an entire American military base isn't a suicide mission is because the lone wolf is literally that: a werewolf soldier.
More to come....

I love a good werewolf!
Nicely done.
This is looking good, love the werewolf concept and the forest setting has a nice atmosphere.
I really must get the traditional paints out again at some point.
Thanks for your kind words on my piece. It is nice to see your work. There is a lot of energy in it!
Josh: Thanks for the kind words, but don't let HIM hear you call him a 'good' werewolf...! ;)
Artbyphil: I keep thinking the same thing about traditional paints, espcially for experimenting with accidental effects. But then I think about how messy they are, and how hard it is to keep your brushes clean and fresh water every 5 seconds and soon enough I just boot up Photoshop and reach for the Wacom.
Uncle Ernie: Thanks for the compliment, and thanks for taking the time to leave a comment.
Hello Adam.
Thank you for your comments on my blog.
I am amazed by the quality of your art. I really like it, as well as your story about the werewolf-soldier.
I am sure it can be a hit as a comic or even a movie.
Great job!!!
Thank you very much Juan for your very generous compliment. I hope the final comic shall be exciting and violent and bloody and scary and cool! Will be updating fairly regularly so please check back soon :)
ewww... fantastic. Never mind spooky; you've put me off my dinner.
Artbyphil's my best friend, he's been building up to getting a real paintbrush on the go for years now, I've just read your reply to his comment and you've probably set him back a couple of months at least! Ah well, just gives me more nagging to do…
By the way, I've replied to your crit on my blog, thanks for your comments, much appreciated x
I think yours might be the spookiest, good job.
Marie: Sorry to have put you off your dinner, we had beetroot salad so I was kinda feeling the same way ;) Was interested to read a bit more about your process on your blog post, its a nice image, particularly the lighting on the book cover. As I said, its sublime :)
Missy: Thanks a lot for your kind comment, I really enjoyed your entry too. Would be really fun to do a cross over image with my werewolf having a tea party with your wearwolf, don't you think? ;)
Hey Adam. I had a blast scrolling through your blog. NICE! You are a master of light and shadow. Thanks for stopping by.
hey adam nice stuff there.loved the pencil human sketches. is this werewolf thing u r working on getting published?
this is great! love the mood!it's spooky and exciting!
Jack: Thanks mate, I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment :)
KC: When it's finished it is my intention to self-publish the comic. I think it will be quite a short comic, but depending on how long it ends up being I might publish it with a couple of other shorter stories into one decent length book. But if it's dreadful I might not bother ;)
Beenznrice: Thanks for you comment, glad I managed to achieve the mood I was aiming for.
thanks so much for your thoughtful comments/suggestions on my illo Friday artwork!
